The 17th Japan Media Arts Festival – Call for entries from 11th July
The Japan Media Arts Festival Executive Committee announces the Call for Entries for the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival starting in 2014.
The Japan Media Arts Festival is a comprehensive festival of Media Arts that honours outstanding works from a diverse range of media – from Animation and comics to media art and games. The festival gives awards in each of its four divisions; Art, Entertainment, Animation, and Manga. It also provides a platform for appreciation of the award-sinning and other notable works. Since its inception in 1997, the festival hs recognized significant works of high artistry and creativity and in addition to a yearly Exhibition of Award-winning Works has held other events, such as symposiums, screenings, and showcases.

FESTIVAL DE CINEMA PORTUGUÊS DE TÓQUIO - 2013
No âmbito da estreia do filme “TABU” de Miguel Gomes em Tóquio em Julho, no Theater Image Forum, será realizado, com a colaboração da Embaixada de Portugal, “FESTIVAL DE CINEMA PORTUGUÊS 2013” na Eurospace (Shibuya) entre 13 e 19 de Julho.
No festival, será apresentado, pela primeira vez no Japão, o primeiro longa-metragem do realizador do “TABU”, Miguel Gomes, “A CARA QUE MERECES”, entre outros filmes representantes de Portugal.

Novo guia em japonês sobre Lisboa
A japonesa Umi Aome, que
vive no Algarve, escreveu um guia sobre a cidade de Lisboa, sob o formato de um ensaio, destinado a transmitir aos leitores a sensação de estarem a passear pela cidade.
O livro intitula-se “Lisbon – Saka to
hana no roji wo nukete” (Lisboa, percorrendo as colinas e as ruas com flores): Editado pela Shoshi Kankanbo (1,500 ienes), está já à venda nas livrarias de Tóquio.

Filmes de Animação da ARS ELECTRONICA 2012 Amanhã na Delegação Europeia em Tóquio
The Delegation of the European Union to Japan and the Austrian Embassy in Tokyo present an EU Animation Film Evening with a selection of films short-listed in Ars Electronica 2012
Short animation films from 15 European Union (EU) Member States including one production from Japan – this is, in a nutshell, the programme for a film evening showcasing recent examples of animation films made in the EU and short-listed by an international festival. The films included in the programme are all taken from a Blu-ray disc produced and kindly provided by the Ars Electronica Animation Festival 2012 in Linz, Austria. All of the films were presented at the Ars Electronica Festival last year. Most of them are made by freelance animators and the line-up covers a wide range of themes from About Music and Inner Spaces to Comedy.
