Participação Portuguesa com o filme ‘’Belle Toujours’’, de Manoel de Oliveira, nos dias 12 de Junho às 16:00h e 16 de Junho às 15:00h, no National Film Center de Tóquio.
"Co-organised by the Delegation of the European Union to Japan, EU Member States' embassies and cultural institutes in Japan, the National Film Center (NFC) of the National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, and for the first time this year the Fukuoka City Public Library in Fukuoka, EU Film Days brings the best of European cinema to audiences in Japan. This unique festival is held as part of EU-Japan Friendship Week, during which a wide range of activities and events are held across Japan celebrating relations between Japan and Europe.
For the 8th edition of EU Film Days, 22 films from as many EU Member States will be shown over a three-week period starting on Friday 28 May at the National Film Center in Tokyo. In addition, 11 of these films will be shown over a period of 10 days from Tuesday 15 June at the Fukuoka City Public Library Movie Hall Ciné-là. At either venue, there will be two to three screenings per day, excluding Mondays, and each film will be screened twice at each venue.
This year's selection of films, which includes 8 that are being shown for the very first time in Japan, have been chosen in order to exhibit the wide range of film-making talent in the 27-Member State European Union as well as the cultural diversity that the EU maintains. We hope that many of you will enjoy this opportunity to experience the distinction and diversity of European film-making."
